Akaroa and Banks Peninsula

The beautiful Akaroa harbour and village 90 minutes from  Christchurch International airport, NZ.  Nestled in the volcanic hillside landscape.  Enjoy a cruise out onto the harbour to view the world’s smallest Hectors Dolphin - a variety of options: sail, motor, paddle!!  Wander the village with it’s pretty history, or venture to the local bays to soak in the diversity of the area.  Recent guests are coming back to see more - so an area to savour : )

Daly's Wharf

Plenty of local history & colonial charm

Settled by early Maori and then French and English settlers the Akaroa Museum is a great start to learning more about the area.  The pretty heritage buildings and summertime gardens are a treat for photographers.  Lots of fabulous cafes and restaurants catering for all budgets and food preferences.

Several of our guests partake in cooking classes offered through the Akaroa Cooking School - world acclaimed and founded by the lovely Ant and Lou.
